We want you to be able to cherish your handloom Mahaniya pieces for years to come. Below are some tips to keep your sarees shining.

  • Use a mild detergent to wash your saree, while washing always use normal water. Before washing, soak the saree (particularly if it comes with bright colours) for 10-15 minutes in water added with rock salt to lock the hues in.
  • Store your pieces in a Cool, Dry Place.
  • Keep your saree in a plastic cover, this will allow the saree to breathe while preventing stains.
  • Never starch your cotton-linen Banaras saree. It will lose its natural softness on starching.
  • Do not squeeze or twist the saree as it has no stretch and squeezing it hard can tear the fibres.
