Tangail is a close cousin of the Jamdani and shares its technique of drawing and weaving wherein an extra weft is woven in for patterns. A special type of yarns and threads are used by the weavers. Tangail Sarees are not made in machines. That means every portion of a tangail saree is weaved and designed by hand. This Tangail saree have an unusually sheer and smooth texture, feathery weight. It takes around 5 to 7 days to weave one saree.
